Obeying Jesus' Commands

In Matthew 28, verses 19-20, Jesus calls all Christians to be baptized. Today our church baptized ninety seven people, including Brett. Brett decided it was time to obey Jesus' command and hold himself accountable to other believers. It was a pretty awesome event, some people had testimonies, some just professed their decision to follow Jesus. Brett was the very last one to get dunked. His mom and dad, as well as his sister Doris and her husband Aaron drove down to support Brett's decision. Thank God for the great church family He has blessed us with down here in Orange County, and for a Pastor who has a strong conviction to spread the Gospel. He never compromises the truth, tells it like it is, even if we don't want to hear it. I have never learned so much in such a short period of time.

19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20

Ninety-seven people baptized in one day at your church??? The pastor must have been water logged by the end of it all...probably looked like a prune! Seriously, I'm glad Brett took this step...It's nice to know you all have a great church home down there. I know I'd be lost without our church family and activities.
