No and Yes

No. I will not be participating in the comeback of acid washed jeans.Yes, I would like to see Leave it to Beaver apparel and aprons return. I would bake cookies and iron everyday if we could dress like this! Meet Brett at the door with his pipe and slippers, have a roast in the oven, kids squeaky clean and in bed at seven.......

More Weekend Antics

I almost forgot to download these pictures from my phone! We had a busy weekend. Friday night, Tutu took Matthew, James and I to the LA County Fair in Pomona. Tyler was at an Angels game with friends. I can't explain to you how cool it was, so much food, games, rides and fun. Matthew rode his first roller coaster and is now addicted.

Remember this puke machine? James likes this one. Not me.
Matt on his first coaster!

Turkey legs! This picture is for Mom, she knows why.

Saturday afternoon we took advantage of our season passes to SeaWorld. Matt also decided to ride their big water coaster, but I couldn't get any photo's of that. He loved that ride.

First Game

Tyler is playing baseball this year. This is winter ball, so it's a little more laid back than the spring season. Which is good, because he hasn't played since he was five. It will be good practice before the spring season starts. His team is the Dodgers and his first game was today.Playing catcher.

Tyler got a few hits and runs today.

Brett said he did especially well on first base, got lots of outs!

Mud Run

Oh. My. Goodness. The mud run was pretty brutal. Beyond the obvious mud, there were giant mountains to climb, crawling in pits, jumping walls and pipes, two thousand people to navigate around, and bombs going off in your ears. We did the 5k, a little over three miles. I have dirt in my hair still, even after much scrubbing. Shall I do it again?? I say yes. Camp Pendleton offers two mud runs a year, and the next one is in June! Brett said he would do it with me. Until then, we will find some new races to keep us busy.

These photos are in no particular order.

Sometimes I leap over walls.Desiree and her Dad, Casey. GO GO!

Desi and I, after it was over. Phew!

This must have been what the kids were busy doing while they waited.

This was out of the starting gate, look at all those people!

Dad its so hot already!

Bill and Priscilla came out to watch us.

Thats Brett's sister Michele, she beat me by over fifteen minutes. Michele runs half marathons and plays lots of soccer. She is fast.

Michele going up a woop-dee-doo, followed by her 17 year old son, Alex. He finished right next to his mom. Nice job!

Back to School

This was a momentous year! This is the year that ALL THREE KIDS are in school ALL DAY! No more half day kindergarten, no more babies at home with mom! Also worth mentioning, this is the first year that my kids are able to go to the same school two years in a row, which meant that no one had nerves this morning because they already knew everyone. WOO HOO!

Look how happy James is.Matt and his best buddy Liam made it into the same class again! I smell trouble....

Labor Day 5k

Today I ran my first race, a Labor Day 5k. Thats a little over three miles. It took me about a half hour. I wanted to do a race before next weeks mud run to see how I would do. I finished before Brett got down there to take a picture of me crossing the finish line. Oops!
