Oh. My. Goodness. The mud run was pretty brutal. Beyond the obvious mud, there were giant mountains to climb, crawling in pits, jumping walls and pipes, two thousand people to navigate around, and bombs going off in your ears. We did the 5k, a little over three miles. I have dirt in my hair still, even after much scrubbing. Shall I do it again?? I say yes. Camp Pendleton offers two mud runs a year, and the next one is in June! Brett said he would do it with me. Until then, we will find some new races to keep us busy.
These photos are in no particular order.
Sometimes I leap over walls.
Thats Brett's sister Michele, she beat me by over fifteen minutes. Michele runs half marathons and plays lots of soccer. She is fast.
Michele going up a woop-dee-doo, followed by her 17 year old son, Alex. He finished right next to his mom. Nice job!

we are so there next year. gotta get me some mud color.
jeniflower, the only way you would make the finish line is if i had a bowl of hotdogs covered in ketchup waiting for you.
Looks like it was worth all the effort you gave it. I guess now you don't need to pay for a mud bath at a spa.
Wanna do the next one with me Julie?
Tempting. I need more info...when? where? how hard was it really?? What do I need to do to get in shape for it??
I will email you.
